Electronics Design Engineer
The role will comprise the detailed design and reverse engineering of analogue, digital and microcontroller based instrumentation, control, power and interfacing products from initial concept through to final assembly. The candidate must be capable of covering all aspects of the design life cycle from outline concept through to prototyping and final production with typical activities ranging from circuit schematic design to PCB design, prototype assembly and software/firmware design and testing. The role will also include some field service and commissioning activities requiring short periods of travel both within the UK and internationally, often at short notice and working in a marine/offshore environment. We are looking for a highly motivated, dynamic and proactive engineer who is able to communicate well at all levels. A team player, able to work with and support a multi disciplined engineering team, you will be customer focused and commercially aware. Degree qualified or HNC qualified with a relevant apprenticeship is preferred.
Marine Electrical & Automation Service Engineers
The role will comprise provision of international field service for a wide range of third party marine electrical and automation systems and equipment. The candidate must be familiar and experienced with shipboard systems and capable of working unsupervised and confidently on a wide range of equipment ranging from low power instrumentation to high power generation & distribution systems. A good working knowledge of electronics and PLCs is also required with the ability to fault find to board, if not component level. Short duration periods of travel both within the UK and internationally, often at short notice will be required. We are looking for a highly motivated, dynamic and proactive engineer who is able to communicate well at all levels and be customer focused and commercially aware. A suitable marine engineering qualification, HNC or equivalent is required together with the relevant experience required to deliver.
Automation & Software Engineers (PLC & SCADA)
The role will comprise hardware & software design, commissioning and international field service of marine & offshore PLC based automation systems and equipment. The candidate must be familiar and experienced with PLC & SCADA packages, specifically Siemens S5/S7 and Wonderware InTouch. Familiarity with shipboard and offshore equipment would be desirable (although not essential) and the candidate must be capable of working unsupervised and confidently on a wide range of equipment ranging from low power instrumentation to high power generation & distribution systems. A good working knowledge of electronics is also required with the ability to fault find to board, if not component level. Short duration periods of travel both within the UK and internationally, often at short notice will be required.
