Diesel Electric Thruster Switchboard, Control & Soft Starter
During the conversion of the P&O European Ferries (Irish Sea) Ltd RoPax vessel 'European Leader' at A&P Falmouth an additional Diesel Electric Tunnel Thruster was installed, powered from a standalone Diesel Genset.
MJR Controls were contracted to deliver a turnkey design, build and commissioning package including:
- Integrated machinery monitoring, safety and remote control system for the diesel generator prime mover and thruster.
- Generator Switchboard.
- 600kW Electronic Soft Starter.
- Class approved design and drawing package.
